If you haven’t touched it in 6 months do you really need it?

Pick a spot in the garage to store boxes. Make it out of the way but access easy.  Call this your hold area.

Mark all items( boxes, bags, furniture, evertthing)

If you know where it goes in the next house mark it for that if not mark it Hold Area Livingroom and rec. room

Plastic garbage bags are great for throw pillows and Throw rugs. These will be handy to put between things for pad ding in the truck or van. Do not forget to mark plants and furniture.

         Kitchen

Make diagram of next kitchen and number cupboard . When packing, keep each cupboard in same boxesand number. Food Items work great in brown paper bags numbered. Spices is a food  item. Plastic grocery bags work, just make a tag. Don’t for get to check your dishwasher  Paper towels are perfect between plates and bowls use Kitchen towels for breakables. 

Bedrooms

Blankets, sheets , pillow cases, sleeping bags and towels work perfect for protection and padding on furniture Drawers need no packing they already are a box. put Under  garments in a bag then back in the drawer. Things on hanger Stay on hangers Bathrooms and laundry roomsBox up things not used everyday. Everyday items should be  packed in bags the day of move. Things don’t tend to get as Misplaced in bags
